We’re excited to host open tryouts for our upcoming 2025 USL2 season! Staten Island Monarchs compete in the USL2 and USL Academy Metropolitan Division. Our objective is to provide aspiring soccer players in the region with an opportunity to be discovered by the upper tier United Soccer League (USL) Club.

Wagner College: 614 Howard Ave, Staten Island, NY 10301 December 28: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Registration Fee: $35.00
Participants should expect:
- Pre-check @ 10:30 AM
- Warm-up @ 11:00 AM
One day of evaluation includes:
- Small-sided games
- Full-sided 11v11 games
- Selected players will receive a post tryout screening notice.
- Evaluations by Staten Island Monarchs and Academy Technical Staff
- Supervision by Staten Island Monarchs Athletic Training Staff
At all Staten Island Monarchs tryouts, U-16 and older participants will also be considered for our USL Academy team.
A: Open to males ages 16 and over. What should I bring to the tryout? Players must come prepared with their own cleats, socks, gloves (goalkeepers), shin guards, or any other equipment related to their position. Black shorts and white shirts are required.
A: Please bring an ID (driver’s license, passport, etc) plus confirmation of registration (email receipt, printed ticket).
A: Tryouts will take place rain or shine.
A: Players are responsible for their own registration, travel, hotel, meal, and transportation cost.
